Racers Face Next Challenge At EKU Intercollegiate

The Murray State men's golf team begins play at the 2019 EKU Intercollegiate Saturday at the Eastern Kentucky University Club at Arlington.

Play calls for an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start for Saturday's 36 holes of play and a 9 a.m. start for Sunday's final 18 holes.

The EKU University Club will play to a par of 70 and a length of 6,623 yards.

The Racers are in a field of 12 teams including Ohio Valley Conference members including EKU, Morehead State, SIUE, Tennessee State, Tennessee Tech and UT Martin. There are five non-conference squads competing including Bowling Green State, Cleveland State, Evansville, Northern Kentucky and Ohio.

The Racers are coming off an impressive performance in their home season opener when they won the MSU Invitational for a third-straight time Tuesday at Miller Memorial Golf Course.
