Alexa Harris Joins 2021 Class

Schwepker announces the addition of Harris to the 2021 signing class
Murray State head volleyball coach David Schwepker announced the signing of Alexa Harris, Friday, bringing the signing class of 2021 to four student-athletes.
Harris is an outside hitter from Edwardsville, Illinois and joins Gabriela Felix Baeza, Bailey DeMier and Brooke Watts as the other signees for 2021.
"We are extremely pleased that Alexa will be joining the Murray State Volleyball program!" said Schwepker. "She is the complete player; super athletic and super skilled! She will not only be exciting to watch her explosiveness and power but she is a person that knows how to win. She will fit into our system perfectly as she loves to compete and loves volleyball."
Coming out of Edwardsville Senior High School, Harris is a four-year varsity letterwinner and three-year team captain. She led her team in kills and digs was named Team MVP her sophomore year. Harris was a third team all-conference selection in 2017 and a first team all-conference selection in 2018 and 2019. She was also an All-State honorable mention and named Area Large-Schools Girls Volleyball Player of the Year in 2018.
Harris also is a member of the junior varsity tennis team and involved with the National English Honors Society, Mu Alpha Theta, Environmental Club Treasurer and the Black Student Union.
