Racers Travel to EIU for OVC Clash

Murray State will take on Eastern Illinois on Sunday Morning

The Murray State Women's Soccer team will travel to Charleston, Illinois to take on EIU at 11 am on Sunday at Lakeside Field. The meeting will be the Racers second OVC match of the season after defeating Southeast Missouri on Thursday.

Lauren Payne leads the Racers with four goals on the season, followed closely by Abby Jones, Chloe Barnthouse, and Symone Cooper, each with three goals. Defensively the Racers have been led by two-time OVC defender of the week Morgan Bodker with two goals and four assists. Goalkeeper Jenna Villacres leads Murray State in the net with 49 saves and over 900 minutes played on the season.

Scouting Report

The Panthers are led offensively by Nicoletta Anuci and Serra Pizano with two goals apiece. Faith Davies leads EIU in the net with 58 saves on the year. The Panthers enter the contest at 2-6-2 on the year while the Racers sit at 6-4.
