Murray State returns to action for the first time since January 23rd
Murray State women's tennis is set for its first competitive action since January 23rd after having several matches postponed due to a combination of established protocols and inclement weather over the past month. The Racers will host the Blue Raiders at the Kenlake Tennis Center on Sunday at 5:00pm with live stat coverage available on goracers.com.
Last Time Out
The Racers dropped two hard-fought matches on the road against Missouri last time out, but saw some encouraging individual performances from both Stasya Sharapova and Marit Kreugel. Sharapova earned a straight-sets (6-3, 7-5) victory over Missouri's Elys Ventura at #2 singles before teaming up with Natalie Slezakova to knock off the Tigers' #1 doubles team of Ventura and Ellie Wright 6-3. Kreugel was responsible for putting the Racers on the scoreboard in the first match of the day when she cruised to a 6-2, 6-0 victory over Rom Cardenas Rifka at #4 singles.

The Blue Raiders have gotten off to a slow start in 2021, managing just two victories in seven attempts on the year. MTSU has secured the doubles point in two-straight contests while Love-Star Alexis leads the way with four doubles victories on the year.
