Racers Compete In Gulf Coast Collegiate

The second event of the spring seasons takes the MSU men's team to Diamondhead, Miss.

The Murray State men's golf team is ready to compete at the Gulf Coast Collegiate hosted by New Orleans and Nichols State. The 54-hole event is staged at te Diamondhead Country Club in Diamondhead, Mississippi. The field of 12 teams will tackle the Pine Course.

This is the second event of the spring season for the Racers, who had a good showing (Feb. 22) in winning the Alabama State Spring Kickoff last week.

The Racers have the same starting lineup as in the first event with Austin Knight, Avery Edwards and Connor Coombs, along with Walker Beck and Quinn Eaton. Tyler Powell will play the tournament as an individual.

There are three teams from the Ohio Valley Conference with the Racers competing with Morehead State and UT Martin.
