The Murray State volleyball team (4-6) was swept by the Austin Peay Governors (8-2) in three sets on Monday in Clarksville, Tennessee, falling to 4-6 in conference play.
The Racers were in every set early but saw the Governors using runs to pull away from the midpoint of each frame.

Morgan Price brought the Racers back into the game with a kill and three straight blocks to take a slight 15-14 advantage. Austin Peay went on an 11-3, including eight in a row to close out the first set, 25-18.
The Racers and the Governors traded points to begin the second set before the Govs got three kills from Chloe Stitt to make it a 7-3 game. The Racers fought to pull back coming within two points at 15-13, but the deficits was too much to overcome and dropped the second set, 25-18. Â
Fueled by kills from Anderton and Holcombe, the Racers tied the third set at three. Murray State ran into the Governors block as Austin Peay went up 7-3. APSU went on a 7-1 run - using three kills, one block and an ace to double the Racers, 20-10. The two teams battled point-for-point to the end of the set as Austin Peay won, 25-15 and took the match, 3-0.
