Murray State Will Travel to Xavier University for First Game of Long Road Trip

The Murray State Women's Soccer team will travel to Cincinnati, Ohio on Sunday (Aug 29) to take on the Xavier University Musketeers at noon. This will be the Racers first road contest of the season following two home victories last week against Missouri St and Louisiana Tech.

For the Racers, they have posted an impressive nine goals through their first two contests with Abby Jones scoring three of those goals and winning OVC Offensive Player of the Week. Symone Cooper notched a brace against Louisiana Tech to lead the Racers to a comeback victory.

Scouting Report
Xavier sits at 3-0 on the season with wins over St. Louis, Northwestern, and Cincinnati. In the most recent United Soccer Coaches Poll the Musketeers received 13 votes for the top 25. Mathilde Rasmussen leads the team with two goals over their three contests.

What to Watch for
Murray State looks to pick up their first victory over Xavier after dropping the lone contest between the two in 2019.

The Racers look to begin 3-0 for the second consecutive season following their 5-0 start last season.
