The Murray State women's basketball team could not withstand a fourth quarter onslaught by Belmont and fell Saturday, 52-67, at the Curb Event Center in Nashville, Tennessee.
Despite the Racers leading briefly in the third quarter, Belmont led for most of the game and used a 15-5 fourth stanza to put away the Racers for good. Belmont shot 48.1-percent from the floor, including 10 3-pointers, while also 14 points off of 17 Racer turnovers.
Macey Turley led the Racers Saturday with 15Â points while Katelyn Young followed with 14 and Hannah McKay added 11. Alexis Burp led MSU in rebounding in the contest with seven, while McKay had six and Turley had five and three assists.
