Racers Fall to Northern Iowa Despite Having More Shots on Goal

Murray State women’s soccer fell to UNI 3-0 on Thursday afternoon
Murray State women's soccer fell 3-0 to Northern Iowa despite having more shots on goal in the match. Saraya Young looked like the biggest attacking threat for the Racers with three shots on target on the day as MSU drew seven saves from the Panthers.

The Racers had five different players put a shot on goal with Audrey Henry, Hailey Cole, Sydney Etter, and Parker Greer joining Young in the effort.

Henry and Morgan Bodker each played the full 90 minutes in the outing for the Racers.

UNI put the first goal in the net in the 18th minute before adding to their lead with back-to-back goals to begin the second half to put the match out of reach.

The Racers move to 3-4-2 in their inaugural MVC campaign. Murray State rounds out their regular season with a game at Drake on Sunday in Des Moines, Iowa.
