Racers Conclude Season at NCAA Regionals

Women's cross country place 32nd at NCAA Southeast Regionals
Murray State women's cross country place 32nd as a team at NCAA Southeast Regionals, Friday.
Ruth Kimutai leads the group placing 132nd overall with a time of 22:53.4. She stayed steady through the race, staying in the 130s from the third kilometer leg.
Samantha Tucci is second for the Racers, placing 180th with a time of 23:56.1.Tucci stayed consistent in the 180s from the start of the race.
Jocelyn Host is third for the Racers, placing 188th individually with a time of 24:13.9 followed by Allison Wood finishing at 218th with a time of 25:28.5. Breanna Day rounds up the Racer five at 221st with a time of 25:39.7.
"The women's team is young and they have a unique opportunity to make the culture into what they want," said cross country coach, Jordan Johnston. "There were some positive things this race and some things that we know we need to work on for next year, I see us walking away from this experience hungry to do better."
The Racers close the season in this meet.
