Murray State, is the No. 7 seed and takes on Valparaiso at MVC Tournament in Evansville

Murray State volleyball goes to their inaugural Missouri Valley Conference Tournament at Evansville, Sunday. The four-day event is played out at the Meeks Family Fieldhouse on the campus of the University of Evansville.

The Racers come into the tournament as the seventh-seed team, set to play sixth-seed Valparaiso in the tournament's first round. In their first regular season in The Valley, the Racers went 8-10 in league play and 12-16 overall. The Racers go into the MVC Tournament on a hot streak having won three of their last five games.

Murray State Quick Notes

Murray ended the regular season with a win over Belmont 3-1 and split their season series.
The Racers also split their series with Valparaiso this season, with the Racers winning 3-1 in their last meeting at home.
Murray went 8-10 in the MVC, clinching the seventh seed after their 3-0 win over Indiana State on Nov. 12.

MSU has the second-best mark in kills for a five-set competition with 76 in match against SIU.
DeMier is third in matches that lasted three sets when she had 46 in win over Indiana State.
