- Murray State trailed for over 30 minutes in the contest, but never let Chattanooga expand its lead to double-digits. However, when the Racers took the lead with just over five minutes to play on a 3-pointer by Macey Turley, they never let go and held on for the three-point win.
 - The Racers continued to get increased production from their bench in the game, with the reserves scoring 14 points Saturday. Fruzsina Horvath and Jaidah Black added five points each in the game, while Bria Sanders-Woods had four.
 - Murray State was able to take care of the ball for the most part Saturday, committing just nine turnovers compared to 19 by the Mocs. The Racers also took full advantage of the Chattanooga miscues by outscoring the Mocs on points off turnovers, 17-7.
 - Chattanooga beat Murray State on the boards Saturday, 31-29, but the Racers held the advantage in offensive rebounds, 8-5. Murray State then put those offensive rebounds to good use by scoring 14 second-chance points, compared to zero by the Mocs.
 - Katelyn Young led Murray State in the game with 18, while Macey Turley followed with 15. Turley also led Murray State in rebounds, assists, steals and blocks with six, four, two and one, respectively.
