White Out Dec. 1 - MVC Opener Provides Historic Night For Racers

The Murray State men’s basketball team opens play in The Valley and fans are invited to be part of it
The Missouri Valley Conference opener for the Murray State men's basketball team is coming
up Thursday (Dec. 1) and this historic moment for the Racers in their new league home only happens once.

Racer Nation is invited to be part of the fun when the Racers host the Illinois State Redbirds at the CFSB Center in Murray, Kentucky. The tip off is set for 7 p.m.

To commemorate this historic night, a White Out is planned with 5,000 special inaugural MVC first game t-shirts being given out, sponsored by CFSB.

The Racers are 3-2 after a successful week at the Myrtle Beach Invitational where they took third place and along the way, knocked off Texas A&M for their first win over a ranked opponent since 2012. Sophomore guard JaCobi Wood was named to the MBI All-Tournament Team and honored as the Missouri Valley Conference Newcomer of the Week.

After Thanksgiving, the Racers (3-2) play at Chattanooga in a 6 p.m. Central Time tip at McKenzie Arena.
