Racers to meet FIU in October 22 Exhibition

The Murray State men's basketball team will face off against FIU in an open exhibition on Thursday, October 22 in Miami, the two teams announced today.

The Racers' second exhibition ahead of the 2026-27 season, the meeting with FIU will tipoff at 5 p.m. CT inside the Ocean Bank Convocation Center on the FIU campus. Admission will be free, but fans must claim tickets online through FIU closer to the game date.

The Racers and Panthers have met three previously in regular season competition, all three Murray State wins, including a home-and-home series in 1992 and 1993 and a Racer road win in 2009.

Murray State previously announced an October 7 exhibition game at Wichita State, while the Racers' regular season non-conference schedule and Missouri Valley Conference slate have also been unveiled.

Murray State is coming off of a 20-13 overall record last season with a 12-8 mark in Missouri Valley Conference play and a third-place finish in the league standings, the program's best MVC regular-season finish and most conference wins since joining The Valley.
