Racers Take Belmont Series With Sunday Win

Win gives MSU sole possession of first place in the OVC
Logan Braundmeier and Gracie Osbron were each 3-for-4 in the game with two doubles and a RBI, while Lindsey Carroll went 1-for-3 with a double and two RBIs.
In the circle, James pitched a complete game, allowing two runs on six hits with nine strikeouts and no walks. James held the Bruins scoreless until the seventh, when they finally got on the board, but it was too little, too late for Belmont.
Murray State returns to action next weekend at Racer Field with a three-game series against Tennessee State. Friday's single game is set to begin at 4 p.m., while Saturday doubleheader is scheduled for 1 p.m.
