It will be fun for all in the summer of 2022 as young players learn the game
The 2022 Steve Prohm Basketball Camps announced the summer schedule with three different weeks of fun for boys and girls of all ages. The Prohm summer camps are an annual activity as young players learn about the great game of basketball.
Â
"We are looking forward to another great summer of basketball camp on the Murray State campus," Coach Prohm said. "Our goal is to instruct young players in the fundamentals of the game while providing a fun environment. We will have an experienced staff of instructors, including many former and current Murray State players. Through daily drills, competitions, and games, campers can count on an exciting and rewarding week with the Racers."
Â
Steve Prohm Camps are held at the CFSB Center at Murray State University.
Â
The first camp is a youth-camp for ages 7-17 (June 6-9) with a cost of $195 for each camper. The camp starts each day at 9 a.m. and ends at 4 p.m.
Â
The next session (June 13-16) is for ages 5-7, and has a cost of $95 per camper. The day begins at 9 a.m. and runs to noon. The final camp week (July 25-28) is for children age 7 to those entering the seventh grade and the cost per camper is $195.
Â
Parents are allowed to begin dropping their children at the CFSB Center at 8 a.m. For the full day camps, supervision will be provided until 5 p.m. The last day of the full day camps ends at noon. Adult supervision is provided at all times.
Â
Lunch will be provided, however, campers are allowed to bring their lunch if they wish. Each camper will receive a camp t-shirt, ball, and certificate of completion. A camp tradition is the Ice Cream Shot. When the shot is made by a member of the staff, all of the campers get to have ice cream.
