Murray State baseball announced on Thursday afternoon the signings of Tucker Love and Jonathan Larrea. The signings of Love and Larrea brings the 2022 class to five signees after Gunnar Bingham, Ethan Lyke, and Jacob Barrett all signed with the Racers in November of 2021.

Love comes to Murray State from Tabb High School in Yorktown, Virginia. An infielder standing at six feet tall, Love is ranked as the 17th best infield prospect in the state in the 2022 class by Prep Baseball Report and was named All-Region Second Team as a junior. The shortstop prospect was named an Under Armor preseason All-American entering the 2022 season after hitting .444 in the summer travel ball circuit last year.
Â
Larrea preps at the Baylor School in Chattanooga, Tennessee while originally from Ozone Park, New York. Ranked as the fourth-best catcher in Tennessee by Prep Baseball Report, Larrea hit .393 last season while collecting 15 RBIs and posting a .494 on-base percentage in 28 games. The six-foot backstop committed just one error in 199 chances last season for a .995 fielding percentage behind the dish.
Â
Love and Larrea will join the Racers in the fall semester after completing their senior seasons in 2022.
