Murray State Tennis is Set for Two Home Matches Versus EIU and SIUE

Murray State (8-7) tennis is set for a full weekend slate while hosting SIUE and Eastern Illinois at Bennie Purcell Courts in Murray, Kentucky. The Racers enter the weekend at 1-1 in OVC play after dropping to Belmont and defeating Tennessee State a week ago.

The Racers look for continued success after winning over TSU 7-0. Stasya Sharapova leads the Racers as the top-flight player for much of the season. Sharapova and Natalie Slezakova are 9-1 as a doubles pairing following their match together last week.

Scouting SIUE
SIUE sits at 13-2 on the year following a weekend split with a win over UT Martin and a loss to Southeast Missouri to open OVC play. Fabiola Perez enters the weekend at 15-4 overall to lead the Cougars this season. The Cougars and Racers are tied for fifth in the OVC with a 1-1 conference record.

Scouting EIU
EIU is currently 2-14 on the year with wins over IUPUI and Depauw. The Panthers were swept to open conference play with a loss to each of UT Martin and SEMO.

Each match this weekend will begin at 12 pm with the Racers taking on SIUE on Saturday and EIU on Sunday.
