Racer 5K Scheduled for September 24th

The Murray State cross country and track & field teams announced plans for the eighth Racer 5K Run to be held Sept. 24.
The start of the race is at 8 a.m. at the Susan E Bauernfeind Recreation & Wellness Center and it will finish on Marshall Gage Track inside Roy Stewart Stadium.

The Racer 5K began in 2013, with the mission to have a fun morning running through our beautiful campus. It has grown throughout the years with tremendous support from the community.
The race cost is $25 and the Murray State student price is $20. Families can race too as the cost is $25 per first two runners and $15 for any additional runners. If participants bring five or more canned food items, they'll get $5 off their entry fee. All canned goods will be given to Murray-Calloway County Need Line.
The funds raised go to supporting Murray State Cross Country and Track & Field programs.
The winner of each age group of each gender will receive a prize. The age groups are 19-under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49 and 50-over..
