Murray State volleyball fell to Winthrop and UNCW at Liberty Tournament double-header

Murray State volleyball fell against Winthrop and UNC Wilmington at day one of the Liberty Tournament, Friday.

The double-header started with the Racers facing the Eagles. Racers started the match in high note, winning the first set 25 to 19.

The Racers' endeavors was not enough as they lost a close second set, 23 to 25. A series of errors in the next two sets led to the Racers loss to the Eagles.

Racers goes on another match against UNCW, two hours after. This is the Seahawks' first match of the tournament.

The Seahawks takes a head start by winning the first set 25 to 21. The Racers was looking to take the win as they pocket consecutive sets in the second and third but eventually fell short in the last two.

The Racers will face hosts Liberty to wrap the tournament, Saturday.
