Murray State Draws With Sycamores To Close Out Regular Season

Mary Hardy netted her seventh goal of the season in the 65th minute of the match.
The Murray State women's soccer team ended Sunday's match in a 1-1 draw with Indiana State in Terre Haute, Indiana.
After a scoreless first half, Mary Hardy gave the Racers the initial lead in the 65th minute with a strike from outside the box on an assist from Audrey Henry and Ava Roberson. It was the seventh goal of the season and 12th of her career.
Henry notched her second assist of the year and sixth of her career, and Roberson her first career assist.
The Sycamores evened the match in the last 75 seconds of the match off of a header from Carlie Jensen.
Murray State outshot Indiana State 12-7 in the match and put up four corner kicks to the Sycamores' one.
Tori Schrimpf led the field with three shots taken and Hardy, Hailey Cole and Sydney Etter each took two shots apiece.
The Racers now look ahead to postseason play with the first round of the MVC tournament to face Evansville in Chicago, Illinois on Thursday, October 26 at 2 p.m. CT.
