The fifth-seeded Murray State women's soccer team is slated to open the first round of the MVC Tournament against the No. 8 seed Evansville in Chicago, Ill. at UIC's Flames Field on Thursday, October 26 at 2 p.m. CT.

Murray State and Evansville ended their regular season match in a scoreless draw the last time the two squads faced off on the pitch. Since then, Murray State has dropped just two of its final seven matches of the regular season.

The Racers are coming off a 1-1 tie at Indiana State to close out the regular season, with Mary Hardy scoring her team-leading seventh goal of the year.

In MVC play, Hardy was one of the top-two players in shots (29), points (11) and goals (5). This year, the sophomore from Ballwin, Missouri has also exceeded her freshman year goals total with just four less matches played.

Keeper Griselda Revolorio has made her impact in goal for the Blue and Gold this season, ranking in the top two in conference play in save percentage (0.882) and goals against average (0.48).

Her total season goals against average (0.73) is the lowest by a Racer since Alex Steigerwald held a 0.68 goals against average in the 2017 season.

Scouting Report
The Purple Aces ended their regular season with a 3-0 loss to Missouri State at home. Despite dropping the final match of the season, Evansville was able to secure the final spot of the MVC postseason bracket.

Evansville keeper Myia Danek has 50 saves in conference play this season, ranking the second-most in the MVC.

Chrysta Vasquez is the team's leading scorer with two goals on the year. Eight different players have scored a goal for the Aces this year and six have taken at least 10 shots.

As a team, Evansville has scored nine goals this season and conceded 19. The Purple Aces have been outscored 13-3 in the first half of matches this season, while matching their opponents' six goals with six of their own in the final 45 minutes of their matches.
