Metzger Named MVC Player of the Week

Murray State volleyball’s Darci Metzger has been named MVC Player of the Week following her high offensive weekend.

Murray State volleyball's Darci Metzger is named Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Week, as announced by the conference today.

Metzger led the Racers in kills in both wins against Southern Illinois and Missouri State this past weekend. She made 21 kills (7 kills per set) in the Racers' sweep over the Salukis, tying the 14th-best performance in NCAA this season, with a .529 hitting percentage.

The Illinois native made a total of 45 kills to average 6.43 kills per set with a .356 hitting percentage through the weekend. Along with her kills, she also posted 12 digs.

The Racers went 2-0 this past weekend and are set to visit Illinois State and Bradley, Friday and Saturday.
