In A Nutshell
The Murray State women's basketball team took Friday's game at Missouri State to double overtime, but ultimately the Lady Bears pulled away for a 92-86 win at the Great Southern Bank Arena in Springfield, Missouri.

Fast Facts

The Racers trailed by as many as 10 in the game, but two Alexis Burpo free throws with under a minute to play tied the game to send it to overtime.
In the first overtime, Macey Turley hit a layup with 34 seconds to play to give Murray State a 3-point lead. However, Aniya Thomas hit a 3-pointer with 18 seconds to play to tie the game and send it to a second overtime.
In the second overtime, the Racers led by two points with just over two minutes to play, but Missouri State responded with an 8-0 run to end the game and seal the win.
The game was just the second double overtime affair in program history. The only other double overtime game for the Racers was a 66-63 loss at Southeast Missouri in 2007.
Katelyn Young went 15-for-25 from the floor Friday to score a game-high 34 points. In addition, she led the Racers on the board with 10 rebounds for her 10^th double-double of the season.
Macey Turley scored 19 points against the Lady Bears and was a perfect 6-for-6 at the free throw line.
The Murray State bench added 26 points Friday led by 15 from Hannah McKay.
