Racers Make Their Debut in the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament
The Racers prepare for their first MVC tournament match
Murray State Tennis heads to Normal, Illinois as the #5 seed in the MVC tournament. The Racers are set to play the #4 seed UIC Flames, Friday.

In their regular season match against the Flames, MSU struggled to capitalize on their opportunities. Beginning in doubles play, Racers doubles pair Jordina Font/Natalie Slezakova won their match in the first flight (6-3). UIC clinched the doubles point, winning their doubles matches in the second and third flights. The Racers picked up their two points in singles play from Natalie Slezakova and Paola Campigotto. Natalie won her match (6-4, 6-4), and Paola defeated her opponent in three sets (3-6, 6-2, 10-6).

Sarah Bureau holds her position in the first flight of singles beginning in the second match of the season. She has compiled an overall singles record of 10-10 and a conference singles record of 3-5. Sarah holds the best doubles record for the Racers, standing at 13-6 on the season. She is 5-3 in doubles for conference matches.
