Racers Take Series at Indiana State With 4-3 Thriller

Murray State softball win 4-3 to take the series from Indiana State.
In a Nutshell
Murray State softball took game three 4-3 to clinch the series at Indiana State, Sunday. The Racers and Sycamores went back and forth through seven innings with the home side taking an early lead with a run in the bottom of the first.

MSU took no time to respond. An RBI single on loaded bases by Lindsey Carroll scored Erin Lackey home to tie the game in the top of the third. In the next at bat, Taylor Jackson hit a three run home run to put the Racers up 4-1. Indiana State hit a two run home run in the bottom of the sixth to put the score at 4-3 heading into the seventh.

Hannah James came in at the bottom of the seventh after MSU went scoreless at the top. James struck Cassie Thomerson out swinging to seal the game and series.
