Murray State picked up the 12-5 win in game one of its series with Indiana State in Terre Haute, Indiana last week. The Racers handed the Sycamores just their third MVC loss of the season as Murray State secured its spot in the MVC conference tournament in their first season as a member of the league.
The Racers currently hold a 27-25 record with a 12-12 MVC record. MSU is tied for fifth in the MVC but can move to as high as third in the conference in the squad's first season in the league.Â
