Murray State baseball is set to host Southern Illinois in a pivotal final series of the regular season at Johnny Reagan Field in Murray, Kentucky. The Racers and Salukis are separated by just two games as MSU is still in contention for the 3-7 seeds at next week's MVC tournament

MSU Weekly Notes

Murray State picked up the 12-5 win in game one of its series with Indiana State in Terre Haute, Indiana last week. The Racers handed the Sycamores just their third MVC loss of the season as Murray State secured its spot in the MVC conference tournament in their first season as a member of the league.

The Racers currently hold a 27-25 record with a 12-12 MVC record. MSU is tied for fifth in the MVC but can move to as high as third in the conference in the squad's first season in the league.
