Murray State softball drop series against Missouri State after losing 2-3 in the third game Sunday.

The Racers put one on the scoreboard early as Gracie Osbron hit an RBI double to left field to score Erin Lackey's home after she got on base with a single to left field. After two scoreless innings, the Bears scored two runs due to errors.

MSU answered in the bottom of the fifth with a line drive RBI to the right filed by Lackey, but Tess Weakly puts Missouri State back on top with an RBI single to second base to seal the deal.

The Racers will head to Carbondale, Illinois, for Thursday's Missouri Valley Conference Softball Tournament. MSU earns the first-round bye, entering the tournament as the fourth seed.Â

They will face the winner of No. 12 Valparaiso versus No. 5 Indiana State at 1 p.m., Thursday.
