McKay Reach Millenium Milestone, Racers Extend Win Streak to Eleven

Hannah McKay reached her 1000 career points as the Racers take 11th consecutive win at Evansville.
In A Nutshell
The Murray State women's basketball team extends their winning streak to 11 with a 90-72 win over Evansville, Sunday. They are now 5-0 in Missouri Valley Conference play and are 12-2 through the season.

The Racers kept up with the trend as they scored 25 points in the first quarter to the Purple Aces' 19. After close second and third quarters the Racers were able to clinch the game with a 30-17 final quarter.

McKay's Millennium Milestone
Hannah McKay reached her 1000-point career milestone. She scored 13 points in the game to make it 1003 career points for the Racers.

She posted her first double-double of the season with 10 rebounds.

Kate the Great
Katelyn Young leads the Racers in points with 21. She remains second in the conference with 18.6 points per game.

Young made six rebounds to pair with the points.

Distribute and Contribute
Six Racers scored double-digit points. Young led the group with 21 followed by Zoe Stewart (15), Ava Learn (14), McKay (13), Briley Pena (11) and Haven Ford (10)

The Racers tied program's all-time longest winning streak (2008-09) with 11 consecutive wins. The 2008-09 team won the Ohio Valley Conference Championship under Rob Cross.

Murray State will make their Hawkeye State trip with visits to Northern Iowa and Drake, Friday and Sunday.
