Katelyn Young is one of 15 players named 2024 Becky Hammon Mid-Major Player of the Year Midseason Watch List.
The Murray State Women's Basketball's Katelyn Young has been in the 2024 Becky Hammon Mid-Major Player of the Year Midseason Watch List as announced by Her Hoops Stats, today.

The Oakwood, Illinois, native has posted five double-doubles through the season. She is second in the Missouri Valley Conference in scoring (18.6 points per game) and free throw percentage (.902) while also being sixth in the conference on the board with 7.9 rebounds per game.

Young leads the Racers in points (261), rebounds (110) and free-throws made (46). She posted a season-high of 31 points against Little Rock, Dec. 14. Her performance is tied for the second highest scoring in the MVC this season.

The Racers enter the College Insider Mid-Major Top 25 at 23 and are set to travel to the Hawkeye State for matchups against Northern Iowa and Drake, Friday and Sunday.
