Murray State defeated Morehead State 4722-4678.

Murray State Rifle defeated Morehead State 4722-4678 in an Ohio Valley Conference match at the Pat Spurgin Rifle Range in Murray, Ky. on Sunday.

The Racers featured eight of the top ten individual performers and three of the top four, including Carlotta Salafia. The freshman took the top overall spot with an aggregate of 1186 after scoring 587 in smallbore and took the top spot in air rifle by shooting 599.

Emma Lawrence continued her strong start to the season by taking the second overall spot with an aggregate of 1180 and scores of 588 and 592 in smallbore and air rifle.

John Blanton was the top shooter in smallbore with a score of 588 and placed sixth overall with an aggregate of 1177.

Isabella Gratz and Scott Patterson rounded out the top five for the Racers with scores of 1180 and 1178, respectively.

The Racers will travel for the first time in the 2024-25 season to Columbus, Ohio, for a matchup with Ohio State at 9 a.m. CT on Sunday, November 2.
