Murray State Sweeps Indiana State in Road MVC Match

The Racers defeated the Sycamores 3-0 in Terre Haute.
The Murray State Racers (14-10, 9-6 MVC) defeated the Indiana State Sycamores (4-23, 1-14 MVC) 3-0 in Terre Haute, Indiana. Â
With the win, the Racers remain in fourth place in the Missouri Valley Conference while Indiana State sits last in twelfth.Â
The Racers took the momentum early, winning the first set 25-16. The Racers continued taking charge in the second, taking a 25-22 win while recording 18 kills on a .17 attacking percentage. They won in the third set, by a score of 25-20 to finish what they started.Â
The Navy & Gold finished with an impressive .210 attacking percentage, 49 kills, and four blocks. Â
Ella Vogel led the team in kills with 17 for the game, with Haidi Miliou and Lilly Burnett tied for 9, and Federica Nuccio followed closely behind with 6.Â
Bailey DeMeir's 32 assists tonight bring her career total to 4,461, moving her closer to the Racers' all-time assist record of 4,580. Â
Darci Metzger and Bailey DeMier put up a strong defense with five total blocks, Metzger (4) and DeMier (1).Â
The Racers are back in action at 6 p.m. CT on Friday, November 15th at home in Murray, Ky. against the Bradley University Braves. Â
