Henry and Kiuru Qualify for Rifle Championships

Murray State rifle athletes Allison Henry and Matias Kiuru each earned their spot in the NCAA Rifle Championships

Two Murray State Rifle athletes, Allison Henry and Matias Kiuru, have qualified for the NCAA Rifle Championships per a release on Monday night from the NCAA.

Henry and Kiuru have been pivotal to the success of the MSU rifle program through their careers, having led the Racers to four-straight Ohio Valley Conference Championships. Henry qualified for the championships in air rifle, firing a 596 in air rifle at the Racers NCAA qualifier on February 17 to match her season high. Five-Time OVC smallbore Athlete of the Year, Kiuru continued his unprecedented success in smallbore, shooting a 587 to lead all athletes in the qualifying match and qualified for the NCAA Championships as a smallbore alternate.

Individual and team competitions in smallbore three-position (60 shots) will be held Friday, March 8, and individual and team competitions in air rifle (60 shots) will be held Saturday, March 9 in Morgantown, West Virginia at the WVU Coliseum.
