Ford Named MVC Freshman of the Week

Haven Ford has earned her second MVC Freshman of the Week honors.

Murray State women's basketball's Haven Ford has been named Missouri Valley Conference Freshman of the Week as announced by the league, today.

Ford averaged 19 points per game this past weekend posting 19 points on both the Racers' games at Bradley and Illinois State. She posted her first career double-double at Bradley with 10 rebounds along with 19 points.

This award is the Morehead, Kentucky native's second collegiate honors. She shot 8-18 from the floor while shooting a perfect 19-19 from the free-throw line.

The Racers will go to the MVC Hoops in the Heartland as the sixth seed and will face the 11^th seed Bradley, Thursday.
