Racers Sweep MVC Tennis Weekly Honors

Chaikovskaia, Bureau and Pschorr earn MVC weekly honors

Murray State women's tennis swept the weekly Missouri Valley Conference honors, earning both Singles Player of the Week and Doubles Team of the Week.

Freshman Valeria Chaikovskaia earned Singles Player of the Week for the first time in her career. In her last match against Jacksonville State, Chaikovskaia won in straight sets, (6-2, 6-1). With this win, she is now 6-2 in singles on the spring season, all at the number one position.

Seniors Sarah Bureau and Annika Pschorr earned Doubles Team of the Week. In their last match against Jacksonville State, they clinched the doubles point for MSU with a 6-3 win. Bureau also earned her 125th career win with this doubles win. The duo is now 7-1 in doubles this spring, and are 24-6 in their careers when playing together.
