Murray State softball split day two at the Purple and Gold Challenge with a win over North Dakota State and a loss to Georgetown, Saturday.

The Racers are now 8-10 in the start of the season.

Vs. North Dakota State
Jenna Veber threw her first career no-hitter as the Racers edge the Bisons 2-0.

Murray State scored in the third inning through Lily Fischer's RBI double to score Bailey Broemmer home followed by Kayleigh White's RBI single.

The Racers held on to the 2-0 lead with Veber leading the charge with three strikeouts, seven flyouts and 10 groundouts while only allowing one walk.

Vs. Georgetown
Murray State falls 6-7 in a seven-inning battle with Georgetown.

Both teams scored two runs in the first inning. The Racers take the lead in the third inning with four scored runs but gave up the lead as Georgetown scored three runs in the fifth inning, a run in the sixth and walk off RBI in the seventh inning.

Murray State will go against Georgetown and Lipscomb to close the weekend, tomorrow.
