The Racers drop the series 1-2 after winning the first game 4-3 and losing the second game 2-8. They are now 3-4 in Missouri Valley Conference play and are sitting at sixth in the conference standings.

How it Went
The Bears scored a run in the first inning with an RBI double down left field and another run in the third inning through a home run.

The Racers showed a solid defensive outing but could not close the gap. Jenna Veber pitched 3.1 shutout innings.

Murray State will head to Belmont for their second game of the series, Tuesday.
