The Racers are scheduled to play the Arkansas State Red Wolves on Tuesday, March 5 at Reagan Field at 3 p.m.

Arkansas State leads the all-time series with Murray State, with the Racers going 50-53-1 against the Red Wolves dating back to the first series between the two programs in 1947.

Scouting Report
The Red Wolves enter the midweek contest with a 9-3 record this season. They are led by Austen Jaslove, who is batting .469 through 49 at-bats with three doubles, five home runs, 11 RBI and 11 runs scored. Cason Tollett, Blake Burris and Daedrick Cail all have two homers apiece in 2024.

Coby Greiner has been one of the more effective bullpen arms for Arkansas State, having thrown 11 1/3 innings in eight appearances with 10 strikeouts, six hits, two walks and a 2.38 ERA. Greiner and Jelle van der Lelie (12) are the only two pitchers with at least 10 strikeouts recorded this season.

Weekly Notes
Through the first 11 games of the season, Carson Garner has posted a staggering 1.392 OPS with six home runs and a .361 batting average. Garner is tied for the most home runs with Missouri State's Zack Stewart (6) and tied for the second-highest SLG and OPS percentages in the Missouri Valley Conference.

Bryce Valero is among the top three in the MVC in opponents' batting average (.189) and is tied for first with seven hits allowed.

Murray State's pitching staff sits atop the conference in ERA (4.12), strikeout-to-walk ratio (2.91) and WHIP (1.24).
