Murray State’s Jay Nimmo and the Racers play the PFAU course in Bloomington
The Murray State men's golf team plays the weekend in Bloomington, Indiana at the Hoosier Collegiate Saturday and Sunday at the PFAU Course.
It was a year ago when MSU's Jay Nimmo became the first Racer in 39 years to win a tournament hosted by a Power-5 conference school on scores of
70-72-69=211, which produced a 1-shot win. Nimmo joined Bruce Douglass who carded scores of 69-66-72=207 to win the LSU Invitational in Baton Rouge in 1974.
Nimmo's big week at the PFAU Course led the Racers to fifth-place as they carded rounds of 300-301-298=899.
Nimmo and the Racers are back in 2024, part of a 15-team field including Evansville and southern Illinois from the Missouri Valley Conference.
The Racers are paired with the Purple Aces and Eastern Kentucky in the first day of play Saturday.
