Racers Tabbed As MVC Favorites

Murray State ranked first in the 2025 MVC Preseason Poll.

Reigning MVC Tournament Champions Murray State were tabbed as favorites in the 2025 Preseason Poll with 78 total points and six first-place votes on Wednesday.

UIC is picked second with 72 points and two first-place votes. Illinois State rounds out the top three with 65 points and one first-place vote. In fourth, Valparaiso received 49 points, Belmont received 41 points for fifth, Missouri State received 35 points for sixth, and Bradley received 31 points for seventh. Finishing out the poll, Drake and UNI received 22 and 12 points for eight and ninth place.

The Racers will begin their season in Lexington, Ky. against Kentucky on Saturday, January 18.
