Five Racers Qualify for ITA Ohio Valley Regionals

The Racers will start the ITA Ohio Valley Regionals in Knoxville, Tennessee Thursday, Oct 16. The tournament will be hosted at The Goodfriend Tennis Center at UT and The Cedar Bluff Racquet Club.
Last year the event was hosted by MTSU at the Adams Tennis Complex in Murfreesboro, TN. Valeria Chaikovskaia advanced to the Round of 16 (first time in program history a player advanced to that round) falling in a hard fought match to University of Kentucky's Top Player Julia Zhu. Yu Kikawa/Yuna Kadowaki also advanced to the Round of 16 in Doubles losing to eventual champions and top seed Catherine Aulia/Elza Tomaze from Tennessee.

Yu, Yuna, Bruna and Sofia will start tomorrow with 2 singles matches each and they must win both matches to qualify for the main draw.
Yu Kikawa plays her first match at 9am, Bruna Melato at 10:30am, Yuna Kadowaki at 11am and Sofia Issakova at 12pm.
Main draw of singles and doubles start on Friday.
