Jackson Earns MVC Player of the Week Honors

Murray State's Javon Jackson was named the Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Week as announced by the league office in St. Louis.
In games against SMU on Tuesday and Saturday against Nicholls, the senior guard from Houston, Texas was the leading scorer in The Valley for the week at 24.5 points.
Against SMU, Jackson scored 26 points, the second-highest scoring output of his career and at home against Nicholls, he poured in 23 points.
In the two games, Jackson was a combined 14-for-28 from the field, 5-of-9 from three-point range and 16-of-17 from the free throw line, including having a free throw streak of 21, the longest of the season so far for the Racers.
Jackson's award is the fourth MVC Player of the Week for the Racers, following Rob Perry and DJ Burns in 2022 and KyeRon Lindsey in 2024.
