MSU's Jackson Named To Lou Henson Award Watch List

The MSU senior is third in the MVC in scoring
Murray State's Javon Jackson has been named the Lou Henson Award Watch List as announced by CollegeInsider.com.

Jackson is the No. 3 scorer in the Missouri Valley Conference with an average of 16.5 points per game and has topped 20 points scored five times in his first 11 games for the Racers.

Jackson also ranks in the top-10 in the league in free throw percentage (No. 3), field goal percentage (No. 7).

The Racers have four players that have been named to the Lou Henson All-America Team including: Isaiah Canaan (2013), Jonathan Stark (2018), Tevin Brown (2020 & 2022) and KJ Williams (2022). MSU's Ja Morant was named the Lute Olsen National Player of the Year in 2019, also from CollegeInsider.com.

Jackson is part of a group of five MVC players on the Henson Award Watch List including: Leon Bond, III (Northern Iowa), Jaquan Johnson (Bradley), Tyler Lundblade (Belmont), Jalen Quinn (Drake).

The Lou Henson award honors the former Illinois and New Mexico State head coach who won 775 games in 41 seasons.
