Chaikovskaia and Melato Named MVC Duo of the Week
Valeria Chaikovskaia and Bruna Melato landed weekly awards from The Missouri Valley Conference, as announced by the league office in St. Louis.Â
Chaikovskaia and Melato were named The Doubles Pairing of the Week for the first time in their career as partners. Â
After being down 4-1 against UIC, Chaikvskaia/Melato pulled off the comeback to clinch the doubles point for The Racers when doubles were tied at 1-1. The win proved to be crucial for Murray State's 4-3 win over the Flames.Â
The Racers are back home in Murray, Ky on Sunday, March 30th. The Navy & Gold will continue MVC match play against Valparaiso. Â
