Three Racers Named CRCA All-Americans

John Blanton, Zach Jackson, and Carlotta Salafia were named CRCA All-Americans.
Three members of the Murray State Rifle team were named to CRCA All-American teams on Monday. Â
Senior John Blanton was named an Aggregate Honorable Mention and was named to the Smallbore Second Team. The Brookings, S.D. native is second on the team with an aggregate average of 1181.571 and leads the team with a small bore average of 587.071. Following the OVC Rifle Championship, Blanton was named a Co-Air Rifle Athlete of the Year and was named to the Air Rifle First Team and Smallbore First Team.
Zach Jackson was named a Smallbore All-American honorable mention. The senior has a smallbore average of 585.385. The Madison, W. Va. native was named OVC Smallbore Athlete of the Year and was listed on the Smallbore First Team and Air Rifle Second Team.
Carlotta Salafia was named to the Smallbore All-American Second Team and Air Rifle All-American Second Team and was an Aggregate Honorable Mention. The Pezzana, Italy native leads the team with a 596 air rifle average and 1181.833 aggregate. She also features a 585.833 smallbore average. Following the OVC Rifle Championship, she was named Co-Air Rifle Athlete of the Year, and Freshman of the Year, and was listed on the First Team for both air rifle and smallbore.Â
Murray State will compete in the NCAA Rifle Championships in Lexington, Ky. on March 14-15.Â
