The transfer from UIC joins new Murray State Coach Ryan Miller as a senior
Murray State head men's basketball coach Ryan Miller announced the signing of 6-3 guard Javon Jackson who joins the Racers for the 2025-26 season as a senior.
Jackson, out of Houston, Texas, played the 2024-25 season at UIC.
"Javon has an incredible skill set that allows for scoring from all three levels and his quickness helps him create for his teammates and it puts pressure on the opponent's defense," Miller said. "Anytime you can add the kind of collegiate experience that Javon has, it's a big plus. We're looking forward to having him be a Murray State Racer."
Playing at UIC in the Missouri Valley Conference as a junior, Jackson becomes a Racer after playing against MSU twice in the 2024-25 season. He played in 31 games and made 29 starts for the Flames where he scored 11.9 points per game and totaled 83 assists and his 48 steals ranked third in The Valley.
Jackson scored in double-figures in 16 games last season and scored 30 points for his career-high in a game against the Racers that went into two overtimes in January.
As a senior in 2019-20 at C.E. King High School in Houston, Jackson was a Class 6A All-State selection by the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches.
