Racers Set to Host Missouri in 2026 Home Opener

MURRAY, Ky. – Murray State Soccer continues its non-conference slate Sunday with the 2026 home opener as the Racers welcome the Missouri Tigers to Cutchin Field. Kickoff is set for 12 p.m., with the match streaming live on ESPN+.
The Racers (0-1-0) opened their regular season with a 1-0 loss at Ole Miss on Wednesday. Murray State's defense anchored the effort in Oxford, holding the Rebels scoreless through the opening 45 minutes as the two sides entered halftime deadlocked at 0. The Rebels broke through with the match's lone goal in the 63rd minute.
Goalkeeper Griselda Revolorio turned in a three-save performance between the posts in the opener, while Breece Bass paced the Racer attack with the team's lone shot on goal across 77 minutes of action.
Sunday marks the first meeting between Murray State and Missouri in Murray, with the Tigers holding a 1-0 edge in the all-time series. The Racers are 15-11 in home openers in program history and 1-16-0 all time against SEC programs.
Missouri (0-0-1, 0-0-0 SEC) enters its second match of the 2026 season after opening with a scoreless draw at Western Kentucky. The Tigers were picked last in the SEC Preseason Poll following a 1-7-2 campaign in 2025 and a 15th-place finish in the league standings.
Mizzou returned the bulk of its 2025 roster, headlined by goalkeeper Kate Phillips. Phillips earned a spot on the SEC Preseason Watchlist alongside Brianna Buels and Landis Canada.
Sunday's contest marks the second of back-to-back matches against SEC competition to open the year. Following the home opener, the Racers travel to South Bend to face Notre Dame on Aug. 23 before returning to Cutchin Field to host UT Martin on Aug. 27.
