Racers Host UT Martin, Seek First Win of 2026

MURRAY, Ky. – Murray State soccer returns to Cutchin Field to host the UT Martin Skyhawks at 1 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 27.
The Racers are seeking their first win of the 2026 season, and the first of the Ben Madsen era.
Through three matches in their 2026 campaign, the Racers have been held to one goal, off the boot of Abby "Jo" Dalessandro, who scored the first goal of her collegiate career against Missouri.
The Racers leave behind one of the toughest three-game stretches in program history after facing Ole Miss, Missouri and Notre Dame to begin the 2026 season.
The Racers host former OVC foe UT Martin for the 27th consecutive season, dating back to the program's inception in 2000. Murray State holds a commanding 19-6-4 all-time record over the Skyhawks, having won the last three meetings between the two programs.
UT Martin arrives in Murray with a 1-0-3 record, its lone win coming over Chicago State on Aug. 16.
Last time these two programs met, the Racers defeated UT Martin 2-1 in Martin, Tenn., after Mary Hardy and Katie Donoghue each netted a goal for the Racers' first road win of the 2025 season.
Kickoff between Murray State and UT Martin is set for 1 p.m. CDT at Cutchin Field, with no broadcast available for Thursday's match.
