Racers Travel to Marshall for Thursday Night Meeting

MURRAY, Ky. - Murray State women's soccer heads to Huntington on Thursday night to face Marshall. The Racers and Thundering Herd will kick off at 7 p.m. ET from Hoops Family Field with streaming available on ESPN+.
The teams will meet for just the fourth time in program history and the first outside of Murray. The Racers lead the all-time series 2-0-1 and took the most recent meeting 3-2 at Cutchin Field on Aug. 31, 2025, with Breece Bass scoring the winner in the 83rd minute.
Murray State arrives on the heels of its most productive attacking performance of the season, recording a season-high 14 shots against Georgia Southern on Sunday. The Racers have found the net in two of their last three matches under first-year head coach Ben Madsen.

- Bass, a junior forward from Indianapolis, leads the Racers with nine shots and five shots on goal, and she has recorded at least one shot in all five matches. She sits two goals shy of 10 for her career and shares the team lead in goals and points with senior defender Reagan Tate and freshman midfielder Abby Jo Dalessandro.
- Tate, of Hendersonville, Tenn., scored the first goal of her collegiate career against UT Martin on Aug. 27, and Bass answered in the 87th minute with the eighth goal of her career.
- Senior goalkeeper Griselda Revolorio, of Washington, Ind., ranks third in the MVC with 24 saves and turned in a season-high seven at Notre Dame. She sits five saves shy of moving into fourth place in program history and already ranks third all time with 15 career shutouts.
- Senior forward Ava Roberson recorded an assist in the most recent meeting with Marshall.
- Both teams have faced UT Martin inside the last week. Murray State drew the Skyhawks 2-2 at Cutchin Field on Aug. 27, holding them to a season-low 14 shots and a single corner kick, while Marshall won 1-0 in Martin on Aug. 30.
- Bass was named 2025 First-Team All-MVC, a United Soccer Coaches Forward to Watch and an MVC Preseason Team selection.
- Murray State's five opponents this season entered September with a combined 13-5-11 record.
- Marshall enters at 3-1-1 after being picked sixth in the Preseason Sun Belt Poll with one first-place vote.
- Sophomore Wiktoria Mikrut leads the Herd with four goals and nine points, with three of her goals coming from the penalty spot.
- Goalkeeper Emma Durand has played all 450 minutes this season, posting 16 saves, a 2.00 goals-against average and one shutout.
- Marshall is 2-0 at Hoops Family Field and leads the Sun Belt with 13 yellow cards.
