Since he arrived in 1991, Murray State's Dr. Dan Wann has become one of the leading researchers in the field of sports psychology. What are the answers to why fans identify with a certain team? What motivates fans to spend their time and money with a particular team? And how do sports affect the mental health of those who love their team? Not only does Dr. Wann study the psychology of fandom, he'll be the first to tell you that it's almost like studying himself, as he roots for the Murray State Racers and Kansas Jayhawks, the place where he earned his doctoral degree. Also we review the week that was for Racer Basketball including the fun of more than 16,000 fans watching MSU at the CFSB Center take on Belmont and Tennessee State. Wayback Wednesday looks back to the women's basketball scoring record of 46 points, set by Ashley Hayes in 2009.
